Who We Are

Elevate outdoors is a community of people who believe the best way to know this country is on foot, on a trail or watching the sun rise over open plains. We organise hikes, and outdoor adventures for individuals and small groups who want more than a checklist of sights — we want them to come back tired, dusty and already planning the next one.

Our History

Elevate outdoors began the way most good trips do — a small group of friends, a shared love of the outdoors and a day hike that nobody wanted to end. What started as informal weekend trips to forests and viewpoints around Nairobi slowly grew into something bigger, as more people asked to join, and word spread from one hiking group to the next.

Over the years we have expanded from single-day hikes to multi-day expeditions — but the spirit hasn't changed. Every trip is still planned with the same care as that very first hike: a good route, a knowledgeable guide, and a group small enough that nobody gets left behind.

Today, our team handles everything from scouting new trails to coordinating logistics on the ground, so that all our guests have to do is show up ready for the day ahead.

The Community

Elevate outdoors is open to anyone with a sense of curiosity and a pair of good shoes. We've taken guests to more than 30 destinations across Kenya — from forest waterfalls and volcanic craters to the open plains of the Mara — and our trips range from gentle nature walks to full-day mountain hikes and overnight safaris.

What ties it all together is a simple belief: that nature is best experienced slowly, in good company, with people who know the land. Whether it's spotting birds on a misty ridge or sharing a meal at camp after a long day's walk, these are the moments our guests tell us they remember most.
